Composers are loners and rivals!

Posted by eluukkanen - October 8th, 2018

Let's face it... Composers are loners and rivals. Here in composer thoughts we discuss how composers are more often times than not source of their own misery.

This week in Composer Thoughts we discuss less about music analysis, and more about composers themselves. Being a composer is a lonely art profession. While other composers see you as their rivals, getting to composer positions seems impossible and selling your music is hard... there is a way out that. I am not saying that composition is not going to be a hard way to make your career sustainable, but it is not impossible.

Wether you are composer for classical music, game music, film music, jazz music or even modern music, we composer have more chaces to get that music heard more than ever before. Making music career is less about how does a composer write music, how to write music and creative process, but more about how composer dream can become reality and what connections you can create to get into jobs. Music creation sofrware might get you far with the quality of the music, but you need to help to market that music to ever get it heard or even sold.
